Hello world, I’m Philip, a certified cloud architect studying for the AWS Solution Architect Professional Exam. I’m curious about leveraging my 2 years of cloud fluency to attain such a highly sought after certification but I have to exercise frugality as there are many costly learning programs available. One day, while searching up architecture designs, I came across Amazon Cloud Quest, an educational platform provided by AWS that allows users to learn about AWS services and their real-world applications through a gamified experience. I was intrigued and decided to give it a try.  Upon logging in, I was impressed by the level of detail and complexity offered by Amazon Cloud Quest. The platform was designed to cater to individuals with basic to average technical backgrounds and offered 12 quests that were initially easy but grew to be more challenging and in-depth as I progressed. I was able to dive into the intricacies of each AWS service and experiment with different configurations. I really appreciated the ability to make mistakes and learn from them in a safe environment, as well as the interactive simulations that allowed me to apply my cloud fluency in a practical setting. As I excelled through the quests, I was able to deepen my understanding of popular architecture designs for free and visualize how the different services worked together. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my experience on Amazon Cloud Quest. It’s an excellent tool for boosting one’s knowledge of AWS architecture and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to advance their cloud computing skills. Although I’ve earned this badge, I plan to revisit the designs to reinforce my hands on experience with networking, database, and security services while getting closer to my goal of passing the AWS Solution Architect Professional Exam.
